How to Use a Wireless DMX Controller

In this video, Jordan from Kettner Creative demonstrates controlling LED lights using a wireless DMX controller. The wireless transmitter’s use is very similar to a wired transmitter, but there are a few additional tricks on the transmitter.

The control board is set up like any light control board, with each light channel having an R, G, B, and A (red, green, blue, and All, i.e. white) intensity control switch that controls each of the lights.

Just press the red button on the transmitter for 2 seconds, and the LED link light should start flashing on both the transmitter and receiver units. They pair in five seconds.

The lights will cue on to whichever channel they were last set to so if the operator intends to change them to a different channel, they will need to make sure that they know which bank of control sliders controls which channel cues the correct lights.

With modern wireless DMX systems, the user can rely on the system working the first time, every time. It works over long ranges – the only constraint is that the system can be subject to wireless interference. Call for a demonstration and estimate for a wireless DMX controller.
